Warranty Coverage

Coverage terms for all services performed by Richard's Window Tinting.

What's Covered.

Every automotive window tint installation by Richard's Window Tinting comes with a lifetime warranty.

This warranty covers:

Bubbling or blistering caused by a defect in the film
Peeling or adhesion failure not caused by damage to the vehicle
Delamination of the film layers
Significant color change or fading caused by a film defect (not normal tint variation over time)

The lifetime warranty applies to the original vehicle and the original purchaser. It is not transferable.

Residential window film installations come with a 15-year warranty from the date of installation.

This warranty covers:

Peeling, bubbling, or adhesion failure caused by a defect in the film or the installation
Delamination
Significant color change or fading from a film defect

The 15-year warranty applies to the original property and installation location.

Commercial window film installations come with a 15-year warranty from the date of installation.

This warranty covers:

Peeling, bubbling, or adhesion failure caused by a defect in the film or the installation
Delamination
Significant color change or fading from a film defect

The 15-year warranty applies to the original property location.

Our warranty covers defects in the film and defects in the installation. It doesn't cover:

Damage caused by accidents, vandalism, or misuse (scratches, cuts, impacts)
Damage caused by third parties modifying or removing the film
Failure of film that was not installed by Richard's Window Tinting
Normal wear or deterioration after the warranty period ends (this applies to residential and commercial only, since those warranties run 15 years; automotive warranty has no end date)
Damage to the glass itself (the warranty is on the film, not the glass)
Installations on vehicles or buildings that have prior glass damage at the time of install

Send us a photo of the problem area if you can. It helps us understand what we're looking at before you come in.
